Directions: If you are traveling from Livingston, take the White Sulphur Springs exit 340 and travel north on Highway 89 about 28 miles. Just before Wilsall, turn right on Horse Creek Road, travel about 1/8 mile. Turn left on Becker Lane and drive about 500 feet and turn right under the log arch and follow the driveway.

Sire Info: Lambs will be sired by five different rams. The ewes were divided into five different groups and bred in their own separate pastures with either the Miller-bred ram or one of the four Knutson rams tracing back to a Violet Ram. These RR rams are well-muscled, growthy, and thick and stand on sound feet and legs.

Dam Info: I have been raising Suffolk for 36 years now and my ewe flock has been closed for 30+ years. I run sixty to seventy ewes and breed for good-sized functional Suffolks that exhibit and produce the structure and overall mass that purebred and commercial producers demand. These carefully bred lambs will also excel in sales and show rings for competitive buyers. A certain number of high-end ewe lambs are selected and added to the flock annually to maintain high-quality flock performance. Expected weight for the rams lambs is 200-250 pounds and 150-175 pounds for the ewe lambs at six months of age.

Lambing Dates: January 23 - March 20

Health and Genetic Info: B. Ovis-Free Flock Number 109. Volunteer scrapie program, number MT 0890. The flock is in its second year of being certified scrapie-free. In the summer of 2003, the flock was genetically blood tested with the Codon 171 test and all ewes were third eyelid tested.

Sales and Info: I see rams, replacement ewes and 4H/FFA market lambs with proven results. I bred the Champion of Champion Lamb at the 2007 Park County Fair, three counties participating - Park, Sweet Grass and Stillwater. This lamb was also selected as the Champion Carcass. I also bred the Grand Champion Carcass Lamb in Park County’s 2008 Champion of Champion competition. In 2009, I bred the top-selling Suffolk ram at the Montana Ram sale.

This year, I will have around 3 yearling rams, 20-25 ram lambs, and 10-15 ewe lambs for sale. All will be QR or RR. By mid-September, I will have consigned 6-8 rams to the Montana Woolgrowers Ram Sale in Miles City. Ultrasound will be performed on all the Sale ram lambs. Private sale at home and visitors are always welcome.
