Sales: We will have 4H lambs, registered and commercial replacement ewe lambs, and registered and commercial ram lambs for sale. Consigning rams to Choteau Sheep Expo and Montana Wool Growers Ram Sale both in September. Private treaty sales at the ranch year round.
General Flock Info: We run 60-70 head of registered and commercial ewes and 5 registered stud rams. Our basic philosophy is we run a meat and potatoes operation, the ewes/rams have to be top producers (pounds to dollars) or they don’t stay. We breed for productivity, genetic and structural soundness, longevity, natural thickness, and outstanding maternal traits never forgetting the overall package which includes eye appeal. Our sheep are not pampered; they are range bred and range raised. They have to be efficient and strong as the smallest pasture they are in is 1920 acres. Our flock has also proven to produce champions in the ring at fairs and shows and carcass awards at the state level.
